Grown up in the family-owned butchery in the region of Frankfurt in Germany, Stefan became an experienced international professional in the meat processing industry, offering an extensive portfolio that spans many global companies.

His professional journey began with a solid education of the fundamental and sustainable praxis of traditional butchery craftsmanship, then pursued as a Bachelor Professional Master Butcher and continued with his graduation in Business Management. Throughout his career, Stefan has held leadership positions as R&D Director, Production Manager, Operations Manager, and Area Sales Manager. He has developed expertise in the production of all ranges of meat products, with extensive experience in product and process development. His vast knowledge in setting up and managing Stage-Gate, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement processes is a testament to his commitment to excellence. Furthermore, with fluency in both, English and Spanish, Stefan’s professional portfolio truly reflects a global leader with a deep and diverse range of expertise in meat technology and in the meat processing industry.

Stefan’s experience includes a significant late-breaking role as R&D Senior Director with the Vietnamese Company Masan Meat Life. He built, led a new R&D team, and played a pivotal role in the setup of two large greenfield pork processing facilities. His leadership and innovative approaches had a profound impact not only on the company’s product development and overall operations but also on Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture about chilled meat standardization.

Beyond his tenure in Vietnam, Stefan has made important influence in other international organizations. As an R&D Director for Central America located company CMI, he established an international R&D department and led product development and process optimization. He also served as a Technical Executive at South African Meat Processing Company Frey´s Food Brands, where he was an interim replacement in the technical area. His work in Sigma Alimentos in Latin America as a Research & Development Manager and Leader of Process Design, where he handled a wide array of production responsibilities, further highlights his global experience and versatile skill set.
